Dixie Chile Ranch CSA Farm Share FAQ

What is a Dixie Chile Ranch CSA Farm Share Membership?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a program in which members buy annual shares of our farm’s harvest at the beginning of the planting/growing season. CSA/FarmShare members enjoy a weekly delivery of fresh produce or may choose to pick up their order during the harvest season, from mid-June through mid-September, for 12 weeks.

GREAT NEWS! We are continuing to offer a Quarter-Bushel (1 peck) CSA Box for those who don’t need a full half-bushel of fresh produce each week.

We also offer Weekly Pay CSA Box Memberships, where you can pay at delivery or pick up of your CSA Box.

What comes in your CSA Farm Share Box?
Each CSA Farm Share Box will be a half-bushel or a quarter-bushel (one peck) variety of the fruits and vegetables we’re harvesting that week. From time to time, we include baked items from our kitchen to complete the box.

With the CSA Farm Share Box, you will receive a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and baked goods. We try to select just the right amount for each available item, so you’re not overwhelmed with too much of one fruit or vegetable. The half-bushel CSA Farm Share Box will be about right for a family of 3 to 6 people; the quarter-bushel (peck) CSA Farm Share Box is perfect for 1 or 2 people to add one item to 5 to 6 meals a week.

Where do you deliver?
CSA Farm Share Box Deliveries are made to Martin/Weakley County and the East side of Union City, including the Pleasant Valley area, on Tuesdays; Obion County deliveries, including Union City West of Miles Ave, Troy, and Kenton, will occur on Thursdays. Those members who pick up their CSA Farm Share Boxes at the farm can do so anytime from Tuesday through Saturday each week through the season. (Mid-June to about the third week in September, a total of 12 weeks).

What do I need to do to accept delivery?
Please set a cooler with an ice pack in a shaded area of your porch, and we’ll place your order in that cooler. Keep in mind the CSA Farm Share Box is either 16 quarts (Half Bushel) or 8 quarts (Quarter Bushel), so please be sure the cooler has at least 16 quarts of capacity.

During what months do I receive my weekly delivery?
Mid-June to about the third week of September (a total of 12 weeks).

Can I choose what I get in my Harvest Box?
Our standard CSA Farm Share membership fills our members’ Boxes with a variety of produce that we’re currently harvesting. We give you the choice of whether you want to include hot peppers and chiles. We will also be happy to replace any items to which a person has allergies or simply doesn’t like. Just notify us when you sign up to become a member.

How often do I receive my CSA Farm Share Box?
On Tuesdays, CSA Deliveries are made to Martin, TN, the surrounding areas, and the East side of Union City, including the Pleasant Valley area.

We deliver to Kenton, Union City, west of Miles Ave, Troy, TN, and surrounding areas on Thursdays each week throughout the season. (Mid-June to mid-September – 12 weeks).

Or you can pick up your CSA Farm Share Box from noon to 5 pm on Tuesdays, and then from 9 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Saturday at our Farm Stand at 3159 E. Union Grove Rd, Kenton, TN 38233

You have another option available to receive a CSA Farm Share Box if you’re located outside our delivery area or would prefer to pick up your CSA Farm Share Box at our Farm Stand at 3159 E. Union Grove Rd, Kenton, TN 38233

What if I receive produce that doesn’t meet my standards?
We Guarantee all our produce to be of the highest quality. If, on the rare occasion, your produce is not up to your expectations, please let us know, and we’ll replace the item(s) in our next delivery. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s a problem with your items, as that’s the only way we can correct a quality issue. It also lets us know we need to check with all our other CSA Farm Share members and customers to ensure they receive a quality product.

What are my payment options?
Great News! – We are keeping our membership pricing at the same level as in 2025 with no increases in cost to our Farm-Share members.

We have several payment and pricing plans to fit most budgets, so if you don’t see it below, call Tim at 731-225-0456, and we’ll do our best to work out something that fits your needs. We are very flexible in this area, so please don’t hesitate to let us know what will work for you, and we’ll see if we can accommodate you.

All Annual CSA Farm Share Memberships need to be paid in full by May 1, 2026
Please keep in mind the purpose of the Prepaid DCR CSA Farm Share Memberships is to help with funding costs connected with preparing the fields, buying seeds and fertilizers, and then planting our produce through the spring. So the earlier you can pay, the more it helps.

Weekly Delivery Members have three ways to pay:

1. To pay with a PayPal Account, you may send your weekly payment to our PayPal account via our email dixiechileranch@gmail.com the evening before or the morning of your delivery day each week.
2. To pay with a Credit/Debit Card, let us know, and we’ll email you a Secured Payment Link where you can pay on the evening before or morning of your delivery day each week.
3. Or you can tape an envelope containing cash or a check for the weekly amount to the inside top of your cooler.

All sales are subject to product availability. All sales are final. Because we’re dealing with perishable food, we may, at our discretion, determine some items are not up to our high standards and pull them from the market.
In those rare situations, if you’ve paid for your purchase, we’ll either issue credit for a future purchase or, if selected items are no longer available, we’ll replace any questionable product with fruits or vegetables of equal value.
