First I’d like to thank everyone who helped make our 2020 strawberry season a raging success. Thank you! We hope you and your family enjoyed every delicious strawberry.
As we approach the end of May, our strawberries are also coming to an end. Regrettably, we’re no longer able to accept any more orders for strawberries, as the over-abundant rain and high 80s have convinced the plants it’s time to stop producing berries and produce runners instead.
The good news is we’re moving right into the blueberry picking season which should last from June into July. We’ll start accepting orders for blueberries starting June 1st, 2020. Be watching for our email that day for details.
We’ve completed planting all our summer fruits and vegetables; however, due to the above-mentioned way too much rain, we’re about a week to 10 days behind our scheduled plan to start harvesting these crops. Please pray for lots of sun and less rain so they’ll start producing!
To anyone interested in joining our Community Supported Agriculture(CSA) Membership which provides a box of produce (fruit, vegetables, honey, and some specially-planned bonus items) delivered to your door for 16 weeks, we still have a few memberships available. For details, please click here: http://dixiechileranch.com/home-business-delivery-service/
If a box of produce is too much, but you’d like to have smaller orders via our Home/Business Delivery Service, please go to the same site for more information and to sign up: http://dixiechileranch.com/home-business-delivery-service/ With this service (just started this year!), we deliver directly to your cooler at your home or business doorstep in Martin or Union City on either Wednesdays or Thursdays each week. There is a minimum order of $20 in products + a $5 delivery fee. You can order weekly, or every other week, or once a month, whichever works best with your budget and schedule.
We hope we can continue to be your farmer for your fresh fruit and produce throughout this summer and into the fall. Please stay well, and remember we’ll all get through this – together.
