You-Pick Rules

  • You-Pick Dates will be emailed to each  Dixie Chile Ranch You-Pick Club member. The opening You- Pick Date will typically be in late April or early May, depending on when the first strawberries are available to pick.

  • You must register online, by calling, or at the farm, so your name is on our Dixie Chile Ranch You-Pick Club Membership list. This is a requirement of our Insurance Company, to be able to  pick in our fields.

  • All You-Pick Club Members and people entering the farm acknowledge they have read and understand the Tennessee Agritourism Liability Act posted on the farm.

  • Entry and Exit from the fields is by walking, so wear appropriate foot gear and clothing

  • All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Pets are not allowed on the farm at any time.

  • Do not throw fruit into containers, toss it around or at each other!

  • Please don't litter. Trash cans are provided.

  • Smoking is prohibited.

  • Pick only in designated areas and into containers provided to you by the Dixie Chile Ranch.

  • You must bring your own containers to take your purchase home; we can only provide harvesting containers for use on the farm.

  • Do not wander into other areas of the farm or onto our neighbors' properties. Please be respectful.

  • Pick only what you intend to purchase. All produce harvested will be paid for upon your arrival back at the U-Pick station.

  • Don’t overload your containers; take another.

  • Do not step on  or over raised fruit and vegetable beds. Go to the end of the row and come back up the row from which you are wanting to harvest.

  • Different crops ripen at different times. Pick only in designated areas, where there is a red or orange survey flag. If there's no flag, then that area or row is not available for harvesting.

All sales are subject to product availability. All sales are final. Because we're dealing with perishable food, we may, at our discretion, determine some items are not up to our high standards and pull them from the market.
In those rare situations, we'll  either issue credit for a future purchase if selected items are no longer available, or replace any questionable product with fruits or vegetables of equal value at the buyer's discretion. Just let us know at the time of your next purchase
